How much is overwhelm and stress costing you and your business?

  • Do you feel overwhelmed trying to keep track of everything you have to do to run your business AND your home?
  • Do you often feel pulled in a million different directions?
  • Do you feel uncomfortable at the thought of “selling”?
  • Do you get anxious or tense when you have to speak in public?
  • Does your body language misrepresent the professional you are?

With everything that’s thrown at us as women running a business solo, it’s no wonder we get overwhelmed!

And when we feel overwhelmed and stressed, productivity goes down, our confidence plummets, our body language becomes defensive, tentative or lacks assurance…and our bottom line suffers.

Now let’s imagine a different scenario.

Imagine feeling calm, confident and in control, able to face anything that comes your way with grace and poise.

Imagine speaking easily and authentically to prospective clients, and groups, large and small.

Imagine having internal tools to quickly discern the physical and mental cues that indicate you are becoming stressed and overwhelmed, so you can consciously choose how you wish to respond.

From personal experience I know these are possible.

As a woman entrepreneur, YOU are the most important asset you have. Taking care of yourself, and learning tools to stop your stress responses in their tracks, is the best investment you can make in the future of your business, and in your own well-being.

My name in Imogen Ragone, and I specialize in working with women who, like me, are solo entrepreneurs. My mission is to empower you with tools to be in control of your body, have a constructive way to deal with negative self-talk and the postural habits that lead you into overwhelm, let go of stress and discover you have a body that is not only more comfortable and free of excess tension, but also exudes confidence and authenticity―to help you be calm, confident and in control, in mind, body and spirit.

My work is primarily based on the world-famous Alexander Technique (of which I am a nationally certified teacher) and my own experience as a solo entrepreneur for the past nine years. I also incorporate some of my other influences into my teaching, including the work of Brené Brown, Amy Cuddy and Susan Cain.

If you live in the Wilmington, Delaware or the surrounding area in the Brandywine Valley, I personally invite you to join this workshop introducing my work on overwhelm.

What will I learn in this workshop?

This workshop introduces three simple ways to transform overwhelm, so you feel calm, confident and in control.

You’ll learn:

  • How to use Mindful Awareness to make conscious choices about how and what you think, so you can prevent your habitual stress responses that lead to overwhelm.
  • About the Posture of Overwhelm – what it is, why it matters, and how to avoid it.
  • To Feel Your Power, so you project confidence and passion to communicate authentically with clients, prospects, and, most importantly, yourself.

In just two hours we certainly won’t solve every aspect of overwhelm. I promise, however, that with my guidance you’ll leave with simple yet powerful tools to help you next time overwhelm threatens.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for solo entrepreneurs and self-employed women who run their businesses on their own. If you are at the beginning of your entrepreneurial journey and are feeling overwhelmed by everything you have to do, this workshop if perfect for you! An interest in mindfulness, the mind-body connection, and in personal development in general, is a bonus.

What is the workshop format?

In my home studio together we’ll explore three key ways to conquer overwhelm. There will be handouts, slides and demonstrations. This interactive workshop will include individual, partner and group activities, and a little hands-on (literally) help from me. There will be an opportunity to network with each other, and participants are encouraged to come with a prepared description of their work, such that they might use to introduce themselves at a typical networking event.

The workshop introduces key elements from my seven-step plan for managing overwhelm and stress.

What do past participants say?

Here’s what the participants of the November workshop said they particularly enjoyed:

“The whole thing! Very well organized, with lots of variety with group and individual explorations.”

“The group size, intimacy and sharing as we heard the teaching – also the actual exercises we did.”

“Interactive practicing, with supportive group and reflection on changes.”

“I really enjoyed our discussion and the group of women added to the experience.”

“The gentle guidance and pleasant connection with everyone.”

“A nice balance between PowerPoint slides and physical demonstrations where we could witness and practice what we were learning.”

What are your credentials?

Imogen RagoneI am a teacher of the Alexander Technique, nationally certified by the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT). The Alexander Technique is an evidence-based mind-body approach to using our whole selves consciously, efficiently, with freedom, grace and poise. I have been in business teaching the Alexander Technique since 2006, and also have a second business designing simple websites for other Alexander Technique teachers. While I initially discovered Alexander Technique as a solution to my own debilitating neck pain and tension, I soon discovered it to be invaluable to me in the running of my two businesses, from being able to successfully manage a lot of time at the computer without undue fatigue, tension or pain, to helping me overcome nerves and present myself and my work with confidence, and, of course, in the management of overwhelm.

When and where is the workshop?

The workshop will take place on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 9:30 AM -12:00 PM in my home studio in north Wilmington, Delaware.

How much does it cost?
